A lovely bakery at in Campbell! So many Beautiful and tasty cakes and pastries. Really wanted to taste every single one a passion fruit cake and a pistachio cake with coffee and tea - nice tea time with a lovely friend. Nice indoor sitting area. Service level was depended on who to serve you...
We made a 30 minute detour to check out Marvel Cake specifically after seeing it on IG, and it was absolutely worth it. This bakery was so professional, clean, and high-quality. We got an assortment of pastries and coffees and everything was amazing. The staff was all wonderful, but especially Dalia who made the whole experience a 10/10 for us with her excellent service and kindness. Keep in mind you are paying for quality goods, but it is worth it. The favorites of what we got were the vanilla eclair and the pistachio croissant. We will be coming back and sending our friends who are traveling even remotely in the direction of Marvel Cake.
What a wonderful ambiance this cute little cafe provides. Lots of parking. There is indoor and outdoor seating. You walk inside and you are transported elsewhere. So light and airy and beautifully decorated. Lots of women behind a well lit counter that was adorned by some beautifully decorated decadent desserts. There is even a parlor type seating area with little cute lamps on each table as if we were in a French cafe. This was a part of my mother's day treat. So glad I found this place and bookmarked it. I chose 5 desserts, tea and a lavender latte. I chose a rose shaped yumminess that was so vibrantly red it could have been an actual rose. It was rose water flavored and was so light with a hint of rose petals. We also chose a tiramisu and it was giving tiramisu. There was a pistachio dessert that had a great amount of pistachio pieces that was melt in your mouth. My youngest spotted some almond cookies he HAD to try. So we got a couple of those. The last dessert was a oreo dessert that made my youngest smile. The iced tea we ordered was a Jasmin Mandarin tea that I'd come back for even if just for the tea. The lavender latte was also delicious. We will need to come back since I wanted to try the filled spiral croissant which they were out of when we visited.
Walk into a dessert lover's paradise at marvel cake. Each treat I tried was a delightful symphony of flavors and textures: Pistachio Spiral Croissant: Not just any croissant, this spiral wonder is filled with lush pistachio cream, offering a nutty, buttery experience that flaky pastry dreams are made of. St. Honoré: A lavish affair of puff pastry, adorned with caramel profiteroles. The luxurious crème core oozes with each bite, topped off with delicately piped cream resembling flower petals. The caramel flow is simply divine! Napoleon: Layer upon layer of flaky pastry, each bite interspersed with rich cream. It's a textural dream that balances crunch with smoothness, perfect for those who love a classic done right. Passion Fruit Tart: Bright, bold, and beautifully tart. The passion fruit cuts through with a refreshing zest, nestled in a crisp tart shell--a tropical twist that's both vibrant and indulgent. L'Opera: For the chocolate aficionados, this dessert offers deep, espresso-soaked layers of almond sponge cake, married with chocolate ganache and buttercream. It's rich, decadent, and utterly irresistible. Pair any of these with their artistic Red Velvet Latte and Lavender Latte for a café experience that's as luxurious as it is comforting. Visit marvel cake for not just a treat, but an exquisite dessert journey with great service!
I FINALLY DID IT! I made it in time for CIRCLE CROISSANTS! *DROOL* Since these things went viral online, I've visited three to four times with no luck. Today was the day! I finally made it with options to choose from. They open at 10am & highly suggest getting here closer to opening. Flavor options: Strawberry / Pistachio / Chocolate They had a FLAT CROISSANTS in the same flavor options. Didn't know I needed one in my life! For the most variety I chose to go with the strawberry circle croissant & the pistachio flat croissant. To which I was not disappointed. Circle Croissant was lightly sweet from the strawberry filling & had splendidly crispy layered rounds which I dipped in the middle. Heavenly pairing! Flat Croissant was crispy but not over crisped with a layer of bready center. I was worried I'd bite it & it would fall to crumbs. It did not. I bite perfectly outlined bites. It was buttery, crispy, & had the best pistachio coating. The pistachio pieces added the perfect crunch. 5 stars for pastries - they are the star of the show! Customer service was a little flat even though there was no one behind me. I felt rushed & that I couldn't really ask questions because when I did, I got one word answers or short answers. I wish there was some enthusiasm for the beautiful pasties they offer. Ambiance is cafe / coffee shop style with a walk past options & order to pay at front. Seating, mainly tables for parties of 2. They have about 3 larger tables for parties of 4. Thanks for the gorgeous croissants *chefs kiss*
(Ryan Reynolds voiceover) The vibe is hidden Parisienne patisserie in Campbell! C'est Marvel! Marvel is in Campbell! Kara warmly greeted us and served us! We were transported to Paris! Ooh la la! The Thé Bleu was delightful! Fragrant. Subtle. Azure. Wow! My Latté was fab! A hand crafted artisan coffee w/ a heart surrounded by petals. Délicieux! The Strawberry Mousse was delish! The edible flower was the perfect touch! A tiny crunchy surprise! Vraiment! The Hazelnut Cake was incredible. Rich icing. Moist cake. Incredible filling! Wow! The mademoiselles are guaranteed to love it! (It says so in fine print...well, it should.) And the Parmesan Croissant was flaky, flavorful, and perfect! Just like Kara said, the dish has to be beautiful and most importantly delish (like an IG supermodel). Yes, I was referring to me. Isn't that right, ladies? mmhmm. Would order everything again! Thanks, Kara! Woohoo!
The vibes of the place are AMAZING. I gasped out loud when I first walked in-- it's that beautiful. I thought the sweet pastries were delicious but really sweet! I would've preferred a balance. The one savory pastry that I got was okay. FOOD [4/5] ========= + Pistachio Spiral Croissant (5/5) SO AMAZING! This was filled with so much creamy filling and the croissant was perfectly baked. The pistachio flavor is very fresh and not too overdone. I really enjoyed this. + Strawberry Spiral Croissant (4/5) A great spiral croissant as well! There wasn't as much filling in this one and I enjoyed the pistachio flavor more. + Flattened Croissant (4/5) This looks absolutely beautiful and was decorated really well. I thought it was a bit dry and hard to eat. Buy this more for looks than taste IMO. :P + Leek & Parmesan (4/5) The one savory pastry I was able to order! I thought it was a bit too dry and crunchy. I wish it was softer and had more flavor.
I was swinging by the Nob Hill plaza to charge my car a bit before driving home only to be surprised that Marvel Cakes is located right here. I've seen the croissant rolls on social media but I was impressed by the interior and ambiance of the shop. Upon entry you will see the pastries they have on display and to the back corner will be cashier and drinks menu. The service here is efficient and answer questions regarding the ingredients of the pastries very well. I came early in the afternoon so the croissant rolls were all out but they still serve lots of other pastries that you should definitely try. I saw the flat croissants the closer I got to the cashier and had to try one and as someone with sensitive teeth it wasn't too crispy where it hurt to bite. I also got a lavender latte and was able to get it iced and the drink definitely did not disappoint.
Came here with friend's suggestion for meet up. It opens at 10am and came a few minutes before and pleased it was open! Shortly after the place filled up past 10am. Lots if couples i noticed. I wanted to try the crossiant pastries but was told there was alot of filling/creme inside which im not a fan of so instead went with the spinach tarte and french tea for my friend and i. They ended up runniing out of the Opera blue so i chose the french breakfast and she chose the mocha. I got a little cold inside the inner room but okay. I enjoyed the spinach tarte and the tea comes with very cute tea pot. Prices r on the higher end and there r so many other bakeries with yummy pastries, i really like the cakes here and would potentially want to order one in the future!
